Solid Freiburg Blank Union Berlin in 2-0 Win

AllScores

Freiburg maintained their unbeaten home form with a controlled 2-0 victory over Union Berlin in the Bundesliga Round 9 clash at the Europa-Park Stadion in Freiburg im Breisgau on 8 November 2026. Under partly cloudy skies and a cool 7-degree temperature, Julian Schuster's side had to remain patient through a scrappy first half that produced three yellow cards and no goals, but a 55th-minute own goal from Rani Khedira broke the deadlock. Yuito Suzuki doubled the lead twelve minutes later, finishing a Derry Scherhant assist. Despite Vincenzo Grifo missing a penalty late on, the hosts managed the game comfortably, while goalkeeper Frederik Rønnow's nine saves kept the scoreline respectable for a Union Berlin side that struggled to threaten.
