"The plan was different" – Freund explains Bayern’s stance on Boey
Sacha Boey was told he was free to look for a new club ahead of the season, but after a move failed to materialise before the German transfer window closed earlier this week, the right-back now looks set to stay at Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund has confirmed that Sacha Boey could stay at the club after all.
The German champions were keen to offload the Frenchman this summer, but after a move failed to materialise before the German transfer window closed, the 25-year-old now looks increasingly likely to remain in Munich.
“The probability is now greater that he'll stay here," Freund said at a press conference on Friday.
"He's always behaved in impeccable fashion. The plan was different, but this can happen in football.
"When all transfer windows are closed and he's still here, then he'll remain a player in our squad.”
