Leeds round off transfer window with Bahoya loan

Leeds United announced Jean-Matteo Bahoya as their final summer signing, after bringing the striker in on a season-long loan from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Bahoya is Leeds' seventh addition of the transfer window, with the Whites having the option to make the move permanent at the end of the loan.

The 21-year-old joined Eintracht in January 2024, making 77 appearances in all competitions and netting seven goals across the last two seasons.

During the 2024-25 campaign, Bahoya set the record for the fastest-ever sprint speed recorded in Bundesliga history.

Only five Eintracht players made more appearances than Bahoya last season (37), but he both attempted (81) and completed (44) the second-most dribbles among his team-mates in all competitions (behind Ritsu Doan – 51/112)

He became Leeds' second addition on deadline day, with defender Melvin Bard also making the move to Elland Road on an initial loan.

Bard joins from Nice, where he made 44 appearances last term, and made the second-most interceptions (63) and tackles (79, winning 48).

He also contested the most duels of any Nice player (371), winning 211, the second-most.

There was also more movement among other Premier League clubs, with Brighton signing Chema Andres on a five-year deal from Stuttgart.

The 21-year-old, who came through Real Madrid's youth ranks, impressed in the Bundesliga last season as he helped them to qualify for the Champions League.

Fulham, meanwhile, made a double transfer, with David Affengruber putting pen to paper on a four-year deal after joining from Elche.

Hugo Larsson has also made the move to Craven Cottage, with Fulham confirming he has joined "on a long-term deal, subject to an initial loan period".

"Obviously, it's a very proud moment for me and my family – I'm honoured to be here," he told FFCtv.

"To come here, to the oldest club in London, with all the history that it has, is such an honour for me."
