1. FC Köln reached full agreement with 18-year-old Martin James as a new third-choice goalkeeper. Sky Sports reported the Frenchman will be signed with the future in mind as he’ll get to develop as part of the first-team.

According to Sky, he’ll have his medical check on Friday before completing the transfer. James joined PSG’s youth ranks in 2022, but he was released after the end of his contract this summer. He was named in PSG’s squad during the league phase of the successful Champions League campaign, although he was absent when the French giants defended their honour in Budapest due to a knee injury.

Köln confirmed they added another member to their goalkeeper coaching team earlier on Thursday. 33-year-old Nils Segelken will work together with Peter Greiber, who also agreed to a long-term extension with the club.

Experienced duo Marvin Schwäbe and Ron-Robert Zieler will continue to be the number one and two in the upcoming season. The former will retain his captaincy under Rene Wagner, while the World Cup winner will continue to be his understudy.
