Man United in fresh inquiry for Real Madrid star

Premier League giants Manchester United have made fresh contact with Real Madrid, over the situation of a member of the latter’s midfield ranks.

This comes with the Red Devils having not yet given up on the potential signing of Aurélien Tchouaméni.

France international Tchouaméni was for his part heavily linked with a potential move to Old Trafford earlier this summer. Amid a search for reinforcements in the middle of the park, the Man United brass earmarked the 26-year-old as the ideal profile of player.

Any chance of the English outfit actually landing their man appeared to have been brought to an end upon word surfacing earlier this month that Tchouaméni had agreed to the terms of a new contract with Real Madrid.

But as alluded to above, those in a position of power at Old Trafford, still, have not been deterred.

As per a report from Red Devils journalist Samuel Luckhurst:

‘Manchester United have enquired about Aurelien Tchouameni. United not deterred by reports he has agreed a new extension at Real Madrid and there hasn’t been a formal announcement yet. Mourinho planned on keeping Tchouameni but Rodri-Madrid links have ramped up since Spain won the World Cup.’
