Dennis Seimen was expected to start for VfB Stuttgart in the upcoming season, but those aspirations have been put on ice for now.
After a successful loan spell at SC Paderborn, the plan was to make the goalkeeping talent the new number one for the Swabian club.
However, Stuttgart have announced that Seimen has suffered a hamstring injury and will therefore be unavailable going forward.
Stuttgart reckon the 20-year-old will be sidelined until at least the next international break at the end of September.
This is a setback for the young goalkeeper and is causing concern for sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth ahead of the upcoming season.
