Real Sociedad enter the race for SC Freiburg's Atubolu

The 24-year-old produced six clean sheets in 34 topflight outings for the Breisgauers last season.

According to information from Mundo Deportivo, Real Sociedad has also joined the race for SC Freiburg's Noah Atubolu.

Former Bundesliga coach Pellegrino Matarazzo, who took over the Basque club last December and wants Atubolu between the posts.

The American apparently has a penchant for German goalkeepers, as Finn Dahmen and Bernd Leno are also reportedly on his wishlist.

Furthermore, Steven Benda, who was recently on loan at Feyenoord Rotterdam, is considered another option for the coach.

Real Sociedad's current first-choice goalkeeper, Álex Remiro, could leave the club this summer and is already in negotiations with SSC Napoli.

The Italians are offering Alex Meret in return, but he is reportedly not very interested in a move to Real Sociedad.
