RC Strasbourg Alsace and Newcastle United are both reportedly interested in signing Pierre Mounguengue (18), according to RMC Sport.

With just a few weeks to go before his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires, the young striker’s future remains unclear. Regarded as one of the top talents at the Rouge et Bleu academy, the Évry-Courcouronnes native has yet to be offered any concrete prospects for the future by the club’s management.

Which is why he may be considering leaving the nest. Strasbourg, who have already made two bids for the 18-year-old, appear to be the most interested. But the Magpies’ recent entry into the race could shake things up. In any case, clarity on Mounguengue’s situation is expected in the coming days.

A key player in PSG’s Under-19s side, the striker finished the season with 21 goals and 12 assists to his name, in 35 appearances across all competitions, having also made his professional debut under Luis Enrique in early May.
