St. Pauli officially sack Alexander Blessin as head coach
Alexander Blessin has been relieved of his duties as FC St. Pauli coach.

After being relegated from the Bundesliga, FC St. Pauli have parted company with head coach Alexander Blessin.
The decision follows a “comprehensive internal review” of the 2025/26 campaign.
“We’re grateful to Alex for his good and passionate work over the past two years,” said sporting director Andreas Bornemann.
“When we got promoted, he made the necessary adjustments for the top division, ensuring we avoided relegation in our first season.
“Alex’s qualities as a coach are beyond dispute. Nevertheless, after reviewing the situation, we came to the conclusion that parting ways and making a fresh start this summer with everyone fully on board was the right course of action,” Bornemann added.
