Kounde determined to stay with Barcelona amid exit rumours
Jules Kounde has revealed he would like to stay with Barcelona for the foreseeable future amid reports of a possible move away from the club this summer.
The versatile defender joined the Blaugrana in 2022 from fellow LaLiga side Sevilla and has become a key part of Hansi Flick's current side.
In their title-winning campaign in 2025-26, only Eric Garcia (48) registered more interceptions than Kounde (30) for Barcelona, and Garcia (143) was also the only defender to win more duels than the Frenchman (127).
Overall, Kounde has won three LaLiga titles, three Supercopa Espana trophies and one Copa del Rey with Barcelona.
However, reports have emerged Barcelona are willing to listen to offers for the 27-year-old in order to invest in other areas of the squad.
Barcelona have already signed Anthony Gordon for a reported €80m (£69.3m), while they are also heavily linked with Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez.
Kounde's contract with Barcelona expires in June 2030, and he does not intend to leave any time soon.
"I have a contract until 2030 – [so] it's pretty clear in my mind," he told reporters.
"Right now, with the French national team, those things are taking a back seat.
"I'm completely focused on the [World Cup] until further notice, but I am a Barcelona player and I hope to stay at the club."
