Bayer Leverkusen appear to have found the man to replace Kasper Hjulmand as head coach.
According to reports from Marca, Sky Germany and Bild, Carles Martínez is set to arrive from Toulouse to take over the role.
Martínez, who is out of contract after three years as head coach of the French club, is expected to sign a two-year deal with Leverkusen.
The 42-year-old has previously worked as a youth coach for Espanyol and FC Barcelona, among others.
Kasper Hjulmand has not yet been formally dismissed as Bayer Leverkusen coach, but it has long been reported that the Dane has no future in the dugout at the BayArena.
