Real Madrid star a ‘priority target’ for new Ajax boss Míchel

Real Madrid star Dani Ceballos has emerged as a key transfer target on the part of Dutch giants Ajax heading into the summer.

This comes with new head coach Míchel having identified the Spaniard as the ideal profile to reinforce his side’s ranks in the middle of the park.

Midfielder Ceballos is of course widely expected to bring a permanent close to his time on the books of Real Madrid over the months ahead.

The former Arsenal man is fresh off an underwhelming campaign all told at the Bernabéu, giving rise to just seven starts between La Liga and the Champions League.

Ceballos evidently remains held in high regard by fellow countryman Míchel, though.

As per a report from market expert Fabrizio Romano, citing journalist Matteo Moretto:

‘Ajax have opened talks to sign Dani Ceballos as a priority target for Michel. He’s high on [the club’s] shortlist since May.’
