Axel Hellmann has extended his contract as Eintracht Frankfurt CEO until 2031.

The Bundesliga club announced on Wednesday that the supervisory board has agreed terms on a new deal with the 54-year-old.

"I am very much looking forward to the next five years and to working with all of the various employees, board colleagues and Eintracht committees," said Hellmann, who has been on the board since 2012 and CEO since 2021.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of the supervisory board and chairman Mathias Beck for the trust that they have shown in me,” he continued.

"Over the past few years, we at Eintracht Frankfurt have been on an extraordinary journey that has led us to economic performance, a strong brand both domestically and internationally, and a leading role on the digital front which is admired thoughout the sporting world. We intend to continue this journey with a clear strategy, a professional environment and a willingness to anticipate and shape developments. This is the mandate that I will be carrying out over the coming years with my colleagues on the board."

Eintracht Frankfurt president Mathias Beck said:

"The close cooperation and mutual trust between the club, the supervisory board and the executive board is a crucial foundation for the success of Eintracht Frankfurt.

“Axel Hellmann has played a key role in this cooperation over the years. With his contract extension, we can gain planning security and create a foundation for us to continue down our chosen path, ensuring that we maintain a clear strategic direction, economic competitiveness and a healthy increase in growth - all while serving our members, fans, partners and the region as a whole.”
