Borussia Mönchengladbach have reached an agreement with 2. Bundesliga Darmstadt to sign Isac Lidberg, according to a report from Sky Germany.
Die Fohlen will play a reported €3.5m plus add-ons, with the total package worth around €4m. Additionally, Darmstadt have also secured a sell-on clause for Lidberg, who scored 17 goals and provided three assists in 30 second division games for Die Lilien in 2025/26.
Lidberg, who will pen a four-year contract until 2030, has been prolific in Germany’s 2. Bundesliga, scoring 31 goals and adding a further nine assists in 58 matches for Darmstadt, who narrowly missed out on promotion.
As Gladbach look to improve on their 12th-place finish, Rouven Schröder and his recruitment team have already moved quick to secure the signings of David Herold (Karlsruher SC, €3.5m), Yukhym Konoplya (Shakhtar Donetsk, free), Enzo Leopold (Hannover, free) and Daniel Batz (Mainz, free), while also signing Hugo Bolin €2m on a permanent basis.
