Aston Villa linked with move for Dortmund's Adeyemi

Aston Villa are said to be interested in Karim Adeyemi, who could leave Borussia Dortmund this summer.

With Karim Adeyemi's contract expiring in 2027, Borussia Dortmund could cash in on the winger this summer.

According to The Athletic, the 24-year-old is open to a move away from Signal Iduna Park this summer.

Aston Villa are mentioned as long-term suitors, but the report notes it's unclear if the Premier League side will submit an offer during the current transfer window.

Dortmund and Adeyemi have been in talks over a possible contract extension for some time, but have so far been unable to reach an agreement.

According to Bild, there is growing suspicion at the club that Adeyemi and his representatives are deliberately setting excessive demands because they don't intend to sign a new BVB deal, instead targeting a free transfer in 2027 that would make it possible to secure a significant signing-on bonus at his next club.

The 24-year-old joined Dortmund from RB Salzburg in 2022. He scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 39 games in the 2025/26 season.
