Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has dropped a strong hint that Luis Enrique could soon extend his stay in the French capital. The Spanish manager, whose current deal runs until 2027, has yet to officially sign a contract extension despite leading PSG through one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.
Asked about Luis Enrique’s future by ICI Paris Île-de-France , Al-Khelaïfi gave an upbeat response.
“The coach is very happy with us, very happy in Paris. We are proud of him, he is the best coach in the world. We are proud of him. What do you think that means?”
While the PSG president stopped short of confirming a new deal, his comments suggest there is little concern internally over the future of the 56-year-old.
Luis Enrique has cemented himself as one of the most successful managers in PSG history since arriving at the club in 2024. The capital club sealed back to back Champions League, the first French club to do so, after beating Premier League side Arsenal on penalties in on Saturday evening.
