'We're not going anywhere' – Bellamy committed to Wales after rejecting club offers
Craig Bellamy has no intention of leaving the Wales job before Euro 2028, having revealed he has already turned down multiple offers at club level.
Wales fell short of reaching this year's World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico, losing to Bosnia-Herzegovina on penalties in a play-off semi-final in March.
Bellamy's team had impressed in UEFA qualification Group C, winning five of their eight matches (D1 L2) and finishing second, just two points adrift of first-placed Belgium.
They lost 4-3 away to Belgium and 4-2 at home, with those results ultimately costing them a place at a second consecutive World Cup, having gone 64 years between their only two appearances in 1958 and 2022.
Following Wales' failure to reach the tournament, Bellamy has been linked with multiple opportunities at club level, including at Burnley, where he was previously part of Vincent Kompany's backroom staff.
But, with Cardiff's Principality Stadium hosting games at the next European Championships, Bellamy is determined to stick around for a home tournament.
Asked about rumours he could step away ahead of Tuesday's friendly against Ghana, Bellamy said: "I understand it, but I don't look too far. I love what I have here.
"I've been offered that elsewhere as well, but I have this here already.
"Wales gave me this opportunity and one or two might not have, because I was conscious I hadn't managed before. Wales have given me this opportunity and I'm grateful for that.
"I am ambitious, trust me. I want to earn loads and loads of money, but there's time. I couldn't see it being fair for me to walk away. That's not right.
"I had one or two players ringing me, saying, 'Is this true?'. Listen, we're not going anywhere. We're going again, we've got another two years.
"I've always wanted to do this role, so I don't want to wish this away. I get great backing, you know, and that's all I can ask for."
Tuesday's match at the Cardiff City Stadium will be Wales' first-ever meeting with Ghana, and just the second time they have ever faced an African nation, having lost 4-0 to Tunisia in a June 1998 friendly.
Wales are unbeaten in their last six games when facing an opponent for the first time (W4 D2), and the last side to beat them at the first attempt was North Macedonia in September 2013 (2-1 in a 2014 World Cup qualifier).
