Albert Grønbæk is expected to remain with Hamburger SV, according to a report from popular German tabloid Sport BILD.
The Hanseatic club will pay the €5million purchase option for the Dane which supposedly expires today, Monday 1 June.
In doing so, the versatile attacking midfielder is then expected to receive a contract which will tie him to HSV until 2030.
Grönbaek joined the Bundesliga outfit on loan from Stade Rennes during the January winter transfer window.
The 25-year-old was in Hamburg's starting lineup for the last six league matches, providing a solitary goal and two assists.
