Stuttgart defender set to miss DFB-Pokal semi-final after injury setback

Finn Jeltsch has been ruled out of VfB Stuttgart's upcoming DFB-Pokal semi-final against Freiburg due to a muscle injury.

VfB Stuttgart will be without Finn Jeltsch when they face SC Freiburg in the DFB-Pokal semi-final on Thursday.

As the Bundesliga club revealed on Tuesday, the centre-back suffered an abdominal muscle injury in Stuttgart's 4-2 defeat to Bayern Munich at the weekend.

As a result, Jeltsch will be “unavailable for VfB in the coming days,” the club stated.

The 19-year-old has been a regular starter at the back for the Swabians this season, making 35 appearances in all competitions.
