"He had many opportunities to move" – Adeyemi's wife sheds light on transfer interest

Karim Adeyemi has had "many opportunities" to leave Borussia Dortmund, according to his wife.

Through his four-year spell at Borussia Dortmund, Karim Adeyemi has regularly been linked with a move away from Signal Iduna Park.

Adeyemi’s wife, Kosovo-Albanian rapper Loredana, has now revealed that the 24-year-old received several offers to leave the club in the past.

“He had many opportunities to move. But Karim is just a loyal person,” Loredana said during a Twitch stream, according to Bild.

There has been speculation that Loredana would prefer a move to a club in a larger city, and she did not hide that Dortmund is not her ideal location.

“Dortmund is not the most beautiful city, we don’t need to lie to anyone and say it’s amazing to live here. Of course, there are nicer places. But that doesn’t matter to me at all,” she said.

“He always says: if I ever leave Dortmund, it will be with gratitude. He wants to feel that he has truly given everything for this team. His dream is to become champion with Dortmund. He really wants it.”

Adeyemi, who is under contract until 2027, also addressed his future himself, with Bild quoting him as saying:

“Anything can change. But I also say: I feel comfortable where I am right now.”
