Kylian Mbappé speaks out on Xabi Alonso leaving Real Madrid

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has taken to social media, to send a farewell message the way of departing manager Xabi Alonso.

This of course comes fresh off the Spanish tactician being sent on his way by the Santiago Bernabéu brass.

Alonso was on Monday afternoon informed that he would no longer be tasked with leading Real Madrid forward, after slipping to a hard-fought defeat at the hands of Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup last night.

Álvaro Arbeloa has since been named as Alonso’s replacement for the time being.

Messages of farewell and good luck have since come flooding in for the ex-midfielder, from fans, players and more.

And as alluded to above, adding his name to this list of well wishers late this evening was none other than Kylian Mbappé.

Taking to his official Instagram account, the Frenchman frontman, who shone bright under Alonso, wrote:

‘It’s been short but it was a pleasure to play for you and learn from you. Thank you for giving me the confidence since day 1. I will remember you as a manager who had clear ideas and knows many things about football. Best of luck for your next chapter.’
