Solid PSG Blank Lyon in 2-0 Win

Paris Saint-Germain maintained their unbeaten run with a controlled 2-0 victory over Lyon in Ligue 1 Round 8 at the Parc des Princes on 26 October 2026. Under cloudy skies and a cool 14-degree evening, Luis Enrique's side dominated possession and were rewarded for their patience when substitute Senny Mayulu broke the deadlock on 72 minutes, finishing off a move teed up by fellow substitute Mika Godts. Godts then turned scorer 12 minutes later, converting a pass from Quentin Ndjantou to seal the three points. Lyon, coached by Paulo Fonseca, struggled to create clear chances and were kept at bay by a resolute PSG backline, with goalkeeper Matvey Safonov producing a strong display to preserve the clean sheet.
