Köln and Schalke 04 Share Points in 0-0 Draw
Bundesliga Matchday 7 brought Köln and Schalke 04 to the RheinEnergieSTADION in Köln on 24 October 2026, with the two sides playing out a goalless draw under partly cloudy skies at 15 degrees. Köln, set up in a 4-2-3-1 by coach Rene Wagner, held the greater share of attacking intent in the first half but found Schalke goalkeeper Loris Karius in commanding form, while Miron Muslić's 5-3-2 block kept the hosts at arm's length. The visitors were forced into two changes just before the interval when Robin Gosens and Soufian El-Faouzi made way, and the second half developed into a cagey, card-heavy contest in which neither side could find a breakthrough. Defender Timo Becker was named player of the match for his disciplined display in the Schalke back line, while Luka Lochoshvili impressed for Köln, but clear chances remained scarce and the points were split.
