La Liga outfit Valencia have early this week been afforded a welcome boost on the personnel front. This comes amid confirmation that Umar Sadiq has returned to group training.

Attacker Sadiq has for his part not taken to the pitch in Valencia’s colours since all the way back in late August.

After netting Los Che’s only goal in a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Deportivo, the 29-year-old was revealed to have suffered a serious injury in his right hamstring.

Sadiq, in turn, has spent the two months since working tirelessly towards a return to competitive action. And as alluded to above, on Monday, the Nigerian moved a step closer to precisely that.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo :

‘Sadiq Umar completed a full training session with the group on Monday for the first time since injuring his right hamstring.’

It is nevertheless considered unlikely that the frontman will be called up by Javier Aguirre for Valencia’s Copa del Rey meeting with Tavernes on Wednesday.
